U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown meets with local East Palestine health providers

U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) was in the East Palestine area Friday to visit a health clinic and meet with local health care providers and hear firsthand what they are seeing from patients in the community following the Norfolk Southern train derailment in February.

“This is the kind of community that’s so often forgotten or exploited by corporate America. I’m here for the long haul. We’re still going to be here for months, for the next year, for however long it takes to make sure residents get the support they need, including long-term health monitoring and care,” Brown said.

“We appreciate the visit from Senator Brown and we appreciate the support and continued work to enable this clinic to provide quality care today and moving forward,” said Krista McFadden, CEO East Liverpool City Hospital.
