Noah Thomas wins Mahoning Valley football Athlete of the Week for September 25
Noah Thomas of Cardinal Mooney won the Mahoning Matters football Athlete of the Week honor for the week of Sept. 25.
Thomas rushed for 133 yards to lead Cardinal Mooney past Boardman, 38-21.

- Antuan Gardner: Rushed for 193 yards and three touchdowns as Niles won their fourth straight game when they rolled past Beaver Local 49-14.
- Christian Lynch: Rushing for 185 yards and a score to lead Ursuline past Austintown Fitch 32-14.
- Brandon Coleman: Intercepted a pass and returned it 60 yards for a touchdown to lead Warren Harding past Cheney 26-7.
- Michael Ballone: Threw 4 TDs to lead Lowellville past Mineral Ridge 38-21
- Tawann Tutwiler: Threw for 107 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 100 yards more on the ground to lead Liberty past Newton Falls, 49-33.
