Have an artificial tree in storage you won’t be setting up this year?

Consider donating it to be put on display as part of the city of Youngstown’s holiday celebration.

The city is asking community members to donate artificial trees in good condition to “bring some fresh holiday cheer to families in need.”

Donated trees will be an integral part of the annual Holiday Parade and Light-Up Night Dec. 1 downtown.

They’ll be set up for free photos with Santa inside of The Federal Tower at the corner of Market and W Federal streets.

You can drop trees off between 3 - 6 p.m. on Nov. 30 at 6 W Federal St. downtown.

If you have questions or want to get involved, email the city’s special eventa coordinator Melanie Clarke-Penella at mcpenella@youngstownohio.gov.
