Youngstown State, U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson negotiating terms of contract
Youngstown State University officials are negotiating presidential contract terms with U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson Monday morning if a deal is reached, could be voted on by the Board of Trustees during Tuesday’s special board meeting, according to a school spokesperson.
Rebekah Rose said a press conference is planned after the meeting for the Board of Trustees to address questions surrounding the search.
The school didn’t immediately answer questions concerning their reaction to criticism the school has received over the weekend and during a Monday protest at the school over a “lack of transparency” as well as Johnson’s statements over his feelings about immigration, gay marriage and the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election.
