‘Faculty losers, liberal students throw collective hissy fit:’ Ohio Rep. upset by YSU protests
An Ohio Republican state representative is taking aim at Youngstown State University faculty and alumni protesting the school’s offer to U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson to become the school’s next president.
Brian Stewart, who represents Ashville in the Ohio Statehouse wrote the following Monday morning on X.
“99.8% of college presidents are liberals, and the conservative students just move on with life and don’t give a crap,” Stewart wrote. “But every once in a blue moon a conservative makes it through the gauntlet and the faculty losers and liberal students throw a collective hissy fit.”
In the post, Stewart included a letter penned by Youngstown alumni who took issue with the “lack of transparency” by the YSU in the selection process.
Rep. Johnson is a supporter of former President Donald Trump’s views on immigration, gay marriage and the legitimacy of the 2020 Presidential election.
