Youngstown to complete 100 emergency home repairs after $1 million grant

The Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation was recently awarded a $1 million grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati’s Affordable Housing Program for home repair in Youngstown.

The grant award of $1 million will be used to complete emergency home repairs on 100 homes in the City of Youngstown.

“YNDC is excited to announce this significant investment that will continue ongoing home repair and neighborhood stabilization efforts and leverage recent investment from the City of Youngstown and other funding partners. We are grateful to the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati, Premier Bank, City of Youngstown, The Raymond John Wean Foundation, United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley and other partners for their support and partnership in making this possible,” said Ian Beniston, YNDC Executive Director.

The projects will be completed in 2024.
