A repeat sexual offender from Bristol Township will spend 20 years to life in prison after pleading guilty in court.

Addison Fasula, 37, plead guilty before Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Sean O’Brien on Monday to a 11-count indictment on various sexual-orient offenses involving a five-year-old female victim.

Fasula, who has previous sex offense convictions in Lake County, was also labeled a Tier three sexual offender.

His first chance at parole will be after 20 years.

If he is released from prison, will have to register his addresses with the local sheriff’s office four times per year for the rest of his life.

The man pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree attempted rape which carried the life specification because the victim was younger than 10 years old.

He also pleaded guilty to three counts of gross sexual imposition, a third-degree felony, three counts of illegal use of a minor in sexually-oriented material or performance, a second-degree felony and four counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor, another second-degree felony.

Judge O’Brien said consecutive sentences were necessary in order to protect the public in this case because of the serious nature of the offenses and the criminal history of the defendant.

“Your actions are incomprehensible and warrant a long sentence,” the judge told Fasula before imposing the 20-years-to-life sentence on Monday.

The mother of the young victim told the court her family can “finally start -- today -- to put this behind us.”

“For the last three months, this has been utter hell,” the mother said.

In 2016, Fasula was convicted of two counts of pandering sexually-oriented material involving a minor, according to Lake County court records.

He was also convicted of one count of failure to notify change of address as a sex offender and sentenced to 11 months in prison.

In 2013, Fasula was labeled a tier-one sexual offender after being convicted of voyeurism, according to records.

According to assistant prosecutor Gabriel Wildman of the child assault division, Fasula’s offenses occurred from June 2022 until August of this year and involved sexual contact with a child.

According to the assistant prosecutor, the defendant also took pictures of the child naked and was found in possession of child pornographic material.

Wildman said he was pleased with the prison sentence for Fasula.

“It’s a good day anytime we prevent a young victim of sexual crimes from having to come in to testify at trial,” Wildman said. “Mr. Fasula will not be free to threaten society for a very long time.”
