Sex offender from Arizona sent to prison on registration violation in Trumbull County
A 33-year-old sex offender who registered an Arizona address, was convicted of failure to report his change of address to the sheriff’s office in Trumbull County and sentenced Wednesday, to serve 24 months in an Ohio state prison.
Dontaye Anderson, 33, with a listed address of South 28th Street in Phoenix, Arizona, pleaded guilty to the third-degree felony before Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Cynthia W. Rice.
Representing the state in the case was Assistant Prosecutor Gabriel Wildman. The prosecutor stated Anderson violated Megan’s Law after being convicted of a sex offense in Maricopa County, Arizona.
Trumbull County jail records lists Anderson’s local address as Lakeside Drive in Mineral Ridge. Court records show he was also convicted in Trumbull County and sentenced to prison in September 2011 on a failure to register charge.
