Bristolville woman attempts escape after court sentencing
A 24-year-old Bristolville woman attempted to escape from the Trumbull County courtroom after she was sentenced to a six-month county jail term by Judge Cynthia Rice.
Paige Vince, of North Park Avenue, appeared Wednesday for sentencing on a possession of cocaine conviction.
What happened when the defendant tried to escape?
As deputies were attempting to take Vince into custody following the hearing, the defendant attempted to flee the courtroom.
She was screaming: “I don’t want to go to jail, I didn’t do anything!”
Four deputies surrounded the woman, placed her arms behind her back and she was handcuffed and taken to jail.
During the book-in process, a piece of glass piping was found in a cigarette pack in the woman’s bra.
No additional charges were filed against Vince, the report states.
