StoryWalk schedule slated in Trumbull County
The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, the United Way of Trumbull County and the city of Warren have partnered to create a Story Walk at Perkins Park in downtown Warren.
A StoryWalk is an outdoor family activity that combines movement with reading. The Perkins park new Story Walk begins at the end of the United Way “Born learning Trail” near the playground and runs along the walking trail located next to the Mahoning River. As participants stroll down the trail, they are pointed to the succeeding pages in the story.
The StoryWalk will feature new stories each quarter of the year. In the fall, the story featured is “Bear Can’t Sleep” by Karma Wilson. This featured book is also available to borrow from the library.
The StoryWalk project was originally created by Montpeiler, Vermont, resident Anne Ferguson.
