Warren-Trumbull County Public Library system to open noon Dec. 13 after shooting threat
Library officials said the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library system will reopen at noon Dec. 13 after an Internet threat to the library closed the library at noon Dec. 12, according to an official with the Warren Police Department.
According to a call log from police, someone left a message on a Google review that they “were going to shoot the place up.”
The library said Tuesday in a press release “In the interests of the safety of all library patrons and staff, all W-TCPL libraries and services will be closed, including the libraries in Brookfield, Cortland, Howland, Liberty, Lordstown and Warren as well as Bookmobile service in the in the interests of the safety of all library patrons and staff.”
“The police have been notified and are investigating the threat,” library public relations manager Cheryl Bush said.
No other information was immediately available.
