When does winter break start, end for Mahoning Valley school districts?
The nine weeks is coming to a close and students are heading home for the holidays.
Mahoning Matters is breaking down when local school districts are on winter break and when parents can send students back to the classroom in 2024.
Students go back to school the day after break ends; for example, Youngstown City Schools’ winter break is Dec. 22 - Jan. 2, and the first day back is Jan. 3.
