Kravitz Deli to mark National Soup Month starting Jan. 2 in Youngstown
Whenever we’re sick, it’s the same advice: get plenty of rest, drink lots of fluids, keep warm and eat chicken soup.
Soup isn’t just for illness; research shows it offers comfort and the ingredients can provide needed nutrients.
Throughout the month of January for National Soup Month, Kravitz Deli is serving several types of fresh, homemade soup.
Kravitz will offer two types of soup every day, including chicken noodle and wedding soup at the restaurant, located at 3135 Belmont Ave. in Youngstown.
Each week, there will be a special soup added to the menu. For the first week of January, you can try the twice-baked potato soup with bacon.
Then on the second week, the special is mushroom barley.
During the end of January, the third week’s special is tomato basil, and, finally, the fourth week’s special is mish mosh soup.
There’s also daily specials for soup running throughout the week:
- Monday: Rose’s sweet and sour cabbage
- Tuesday: Stuffed pepper
- Wednesday: Chicken paprikash
- Thursday: Matzoh ball
- Friday: Clam chowder
When customers order a sandwich from the deli, they can also get a cup of soup for $3 throughout January. The only exception is Friday’s special clam chowder.
