City of Niles firefighters rescue dog from house fire
Firefighters with the city of Niles tackled an early morning house fire and are looking into what started the fire.
With the help of Niles police and first responders, they were able to determine the house was unoccupied during the fire.
They reported that unfortunately four cats perished in the fire, but they were able to save one dog.
They’re looking into the cause of the fire.
“We would like to thank Niles Police Department for their rapid response and shutting down the road, as well as Lane Ambulance for standing by,” wrote the firefighters on Facebook.
