Trumbull County Democrats meeting tomorrow to find replacement city treasurer in Girard

Members of the Trumbull County Democratic Party will meet this week to fill the current vacancy in the city of Girard treasurer’s office.

Mark Zuppo Sr. resigned as city treasurer after being elected mayor in the primary last May, securing the vote over former mayor James Melfi.

The meeting is happening at 6 p.m. Thursday at Girard City Hall.

Any Democrat resident in Girard interested in filling the remainder of the treasurer term is encouraged to apply.

Interested applicants should prepare a letter of interest and contact the Trumbull County Democratic Party at (330) 506-5364 before Jan. 11 by 4 p.m.
