Youngstown Public Library hosts Alex Michaelides, author of The Silent Patient

Tickets are officially on sale to support the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County and a special presentation featuring bestselling author Alex Michaelides.

He wrote The Silent Patient, a fictional psychological thriller. It follows a psychotherapist treating a woman who stops speaking after she committed a brutal crime.

Michaelides will be in Youngstown at the Main Library on Feb. 15 to talk about his career and answer questions.

The presentation will start at 7 p.m. followed by the question-and-answer session and information about his latest book, The Fury, which comes out next Tuesday.

General admission tickets are $50, and you’ll get a signed copy of The Fury.

Reserved seat tickets cost $95, and all proceeds from the event will benefit adult literacy programs at the library.

The reserved seat ticket includes entry to cocktail hour with Michaelides and other fans, as well as a signed copy of The Fury.

The cocktail hour starts at 6 p.m. and guests get a glass of wine and appetizers. There will also be a cash bar.
