Warren police officer expected to be terminated after rape, aggravated burglary arrest
A Warren police officer is facing termination after being charged with rape and aggravated burglary after a Jan. 20 arrest.
Warren Mayor Doug Franklin and police chief Eric Merkel said during a Monday press conference that city police officer Michael Edwards Jr. is expected to be terminated later in the day.
Edwards Jr. is currently in Trumbull County Jail.
