Emaciated puppies found on the west side of Youngstown
The Mahoning County Dog Warden reported Monday that children found seven puppies on North Broadway Avenue on the west side of Youngstown in a crate wrapped in a trash bag.
Two dogs were deceased.
According to reports, they were taken to the veterinarian and were emaciated, dehydrated, hypothermic with low blood sugar and covered in dried feces. Bellies are full of round worms They have burns on their paws from standing in their own waste. The puppies were reportedly malnourished, had roundworms and burns on their paws from standing in their own waste.
