Vienna Township Fire Chief Richard Brannon announces retirement
Vienna Township Fire Chief Richard Brannon announced his retirement Monday after 45 years of service to the department.
“He has served with dignity, bravery, compassion and unmatched loyalty to this community and the firefighters and EMS personnel he leads. In the words of his family and community members, his shoes will be tough to fill,” the department said in a Facebook post. “Chief, your courage and selflessness have inspired us all. We are proud to serve under your leadership. Our gratitude cannot be truly expressed in words but we will attempt to show it in all we have learned from your example. Thank you! You have the respect of an entire community. Congratulations on a remarkable career and a well-earned retirement.”
