John Daniel Jr., 52, of Berkshire Drive, Warren, was found guilty by a Trumbull County jury of a second-degree felonious assault felony Tuesday before Judge Ronald J. Rice of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court with a firearm specification and a fourth-degree domestic violence charge.

The jurors, who deliberated about two hours, came back with a not guilty verdict on a third-degree having weapons while under disability felony charge. Daniel, whose bond was revoked, will be sentenced Feb. 13 at 1:30 p.m.

State’s evidence in the two-day trial showed that Daniel was involved in a shooting June 25, 2023 at the Berkshire Drive residence.

Testimony showed the male victim was shot several times in the side and the leg. Daniel could face an indefinite prison sentence that includes a three-year mandatory consecutive sentence because he used a firearm in commission of the crime.
