Warren man given 12-month sentence on vandalism charge

The following cases were handled Thursday before Judge Ronald J. Rice of the Trumbull County Common Pleas Court:

  • Christopher Gembicki, 37, of Vine Street NE, Warren, was given a 12-month-prison sentence on a fifth-degree vandalism felony conviction. He had previously pleaded guilty to breaking four first-floor windows at the Trumbull County Courthouse last October. Surveilance video shows Gembicki throwing a rock into double-paned windows multiple times. The judge ordered Gembicki pay $3,490 restitution for damages. The judge also noted that Gembicki’s criminal record began at the age of 14 and included a federal prison term in 2017 for a conviction for threats made to POTUS.
  • Adrian L. Carroll, 62, of Swallow Street Warren, received a 2-month prison sentence for his conviction of one fifth-degree felony vandalism count. Carroll was involved in a July 2023 burglary in Warren that caused $1,727 in damages, reports stated. The judge noted his lengthy criminal record that include 13 different aliases and 75 theft offenses.
  • Craig A. Henderson, 31, of Charles Court, Newton Falls, was given a three-year high-risk probation beginning with a term in the Northeast Ohio Community Alternative Program in-house rehabilitation after pleading guilty to one count of third-degree failure to comply with order/signal of police officer felony. The case involved a July 16, 2023, incident where Henderson’s vehicle lead Howland police on a high-speed chase. Henderson also received a three-year driver’s license suspension.
  • Adam J. Boggs, 34, of Spruce Court, Niles, received an eight-month jail term after pleading guilty to a fifth-degree obstructing official business felony. The case involved Boggs resisting attempts to evict him from the Spruce Court residence on September 28, 2023, according to reports. Boggs was ruled competent to stand trial and agreed to a plea deal with prosecutors.
