The following cases were handled Tuesday before Judge Andrew D. Logan of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court:

  • Alicia Budreaux, 32, of Kings Drive, Newton Township, pleaded guilty to one count of endangering children, a third-degree felony, connected to the mistreatment of a one-year child at her Newton Township mobile home in December. Budreaux, who could face up to three years in prison, will undergo a background investigation conducted by probation officers. The case involved the discovery of five children being left alone at the residence that was poorly heated in December. The youngest child, about a year old, suffered from hypothermia and malnutrition and had to be hospitalized, prosecutors stated. The case was investigated by Trumbull County sheriff’s office and Trumbull County Children Services.
  • David A. Moore, 32, of Lincoln Avenue, Niles, pleaded guilty in separate cases to a third-degree domestic violence and a fifth-degree aggravated possession of drugs. Moore will be sentenced after undergoing a background investigation conducted by probation officers. The first case involved a Sept. 12, 2023, call to a Brookfield residence where a 30-year-old woman reported being abused by her husband. The drug charge dealt with 0.2 grams of methamphetamine found on Moore as he was being arrested for the domestic violence charge. Moore could get as much as four years in prison.
