Firearms missing after reported theft from Youngstown home
Youngstown police are investigating a break-in at a Pearl Street home on the East Side in which two firearms were reportedly missing.
According to the report, the break-in occurred between 9 p.m. March 20 and 3:15 p.m. on March 23.
Officers learned from the victim that he had been staying with a sick family member and when he arrived home, he found his front door had been kicked in.
Officers noted the front door had been nailed closed but the owner noted mud footprints were on it and the door appeared to be completely off its hinges, the report stated.
The serial numbers of the stolen firearms were not available, but the victim reported the firearms, a Masada 9mm pistol and a Radical FP 10.5 ARP with ammunition were taken from a bed room closet.
Also taken were an Xbox 360 and two game controllers.
No arrests have been made as of yet, the report stated.
