Police investigate man’s shooting death on Lovers Lane in Warren

Officers with the Warren Police Department are investigating a shooting death that happened last night, making it the city’s second homicide investigation of the year.

Reports say a man was found by Warren police officers with a fatal gunshot wound.

Police found him around 8:20 p.m. yesterday in the 1000 block of Lovers Lane in Warren.

Officers provided aid until first responders transported the victim to Trumbull Regional Medical Center.

The man was pronounced dead at Trumbull Regional Medical Center.

Jonte Davis shooting still under investigation

Warren police are also investigating the shooting death of Jonte Davis, a 33-year-old postal worker in the city.

He was shot and killed on his route March 2 by someone driving in another car.
