Film actress Kim Novak opening third exhibit at Butler Institute of Art
The Butler Institute of American Art is welcoming acclaimed actress and painter Kim Novak back for her newest exhibit opening early this summer.
Novak is showing her third exhibit showcasing her artwork at the Youngstown museum starting June 2.
She’ll be showcasing recent pieces which will be on display through August, along with a special screening of a 30-minute documentary called “Tangerine.”
“Kim Novak: Pastel Paintings” opened at the Butler Institute of American Art first in May of 2014.
Her second show at the Butler was a retrospective exhibition called “Kim Novak: An Iconic Vision,” which opened in summer 2019 during the museum’s 100th anniversary exhibition.
In 2021, she published a book for her 88th birthday called Kim Novak: Her Art and Life and all sales benefited the museum.
