Warren man gets 18 months on fentanyl-related and cocaine charges

Kyren D. Martin, 25, of Birchwood Avenue Northeast, Warren, received an 18-month prison sentence after pleading guilty last November to fourth-degree felonies of attempted trafficking in fentanyl-related compound, trafficking in cocaine and a fifth-degree attempted aggravated trafficking in drugs.

The offenses were investigated in February 2023 by the Warren Police Department.

Judge Sean O’Brien said the defendant was not amenable to probation because of a prior felony conviction for carrying a concealed weapon in 2020.

He also has criminal records out of Mercer County, Pa., records show. Martin will remain in Trumbull County jail after he had skipped out after posting bond and had to be picked up on a bench warrant on March 25, 2024, records stated.
