Simply Slavic scholarship supports Youngstown State students. When is deadline to apply?

Simply Slavic is seeking applicants for its 2024 round of academic scholarships for students attending Youngstown State University.

YSU students who have completed their freshman year and are currently enrolled at the undergraduate or graduate level are encouraged to apply. All applicants must submit a 500-word narrative on how Slavic culture has influenced their lives. Funds for tuition and student expenses such as books, lodging, and study abroad programs can be used.

How is the Simply Slavic scholarship supported?

The scholarship is supported through a unique partnership with local brewer Modern Methods Brewing Co. In 2018, Simply Slavic and Modern Methods collaborated to launch Rodina, a traditional Czech Amber Lager showcasing spicy Czech Saaz noble hops, lager yeast, and caramel Bohemian malt. It was aptly named after the word that means “family” in many Slavic languages. (Learn more in the attached)

The Simply Slavic scholarship committee panel will select the winners after reviewing their essays and academic achievements.

When is the deadline to apply for the Simply Slavic scholarship

The deadline for scholarship applicants is July 31.. The winners will be announced in mid-August.
