Man dies after reported shooting on Republic Avenue in Youngstown

A man was shot on Republic Avenue in the driveway of a home and died shortly after police arrived, according to Youngstown police reports.

Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Republic Avenue on Monday morning and found the man with multiple gunshot wounds.

EMTs arrived shortly after and attempted to treat him, but the man succumbed to his wounds.He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Youngstown Police Detective Bureau, Crime Scene Unit and the coroner’s office were called to the scene to investigate the matter. Liberty police and Youngstown State University police were also present to secure the scene.

Police have not identified any suspects and are continuing to investigate the matter.
