Warren police seeking public information on June 5 shooting
Warren police detectives are seeking help in their investigation of a shooting in the 2300 block of Stephens Avenue NW about 9:07 p.m. on June 5.
According to a news release from detectives, Warren police officers arrived at the scene which was littered with spent cartridge casings and children were seen playing in their front yards. Police officers said children could have possibly been in the line of fire when the shooting took place.
A victim was struck by one of the bullets, the report stated and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to an area hospital. When questioned, the victim refused to cooperate despite the risk placed on the community and children in the neighborhood, the police report stated.
