Local leaders of the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown are participating in a national campaign called We Are There.

“We Are There beautifully underscores our commitment to standing with our neighbors through every challenge they face. Together, with support from the communities we serve, we can continue to make a profound difference in the lives of those who need it most,” said Rachel Hrbolich, local director of Catholic Charities at Diocese of Youngstown.

It’s a way to highlight services Catholic Charities offers for families, veterans, people with housing and food insecurity, mental health and financial struggles.

“Here in the Diocese of Youngstown, Catholic Charities will continue to highlight the different ways we aid and accompany our neighbors in need,” wrote Hrbolich.

Catholic Charities agencies around the country serve 15 million vulnerable people each year and provided more than 30 million meals to those in need.

Catholic Charities helps people regardless of the individual’s faith or beliefs.

Their legacy is over 100 years old and stretches across communities in Trumbull, Columbiana, Mahoning, Portage, Stark and Ashtabula counties.
