Support downtown: What’s happening for Juneteenth this weekend at Wean Park
Head downtown to Wean Park to support vendors, entertainers and soul food cook-off competitors in the Youngstown Juneteenth Cultural Festival this weekend.
The two-day festival is the finale of a weeklong Juneteenth celebration organized by the Youngstown Juneteenth Committee in collaboration with local businesses.
“We want you to go out and celebrate with our community,” said councilmember Samantha Turner. “I understand the narrative that is around downtown. Please come downtown; please support our downtown businesses. Do that in this hard time. That supports us and supports Youngstown.”
