Man arrested after police report they found him with drugs on stolen moped in Youngstown
A man was arrested on Thursday after police pulled him over on a moped, which was later discovered to be stolen, and found an array of drugs on his person.
Youngstown police had initiated a traffic stop on the man, Terrence Cleveland, after they found him riding an unregistered orange moped, reports indicated. Cleveland attempted to speed up at first before he was apprehended by police and placed in handcuffs, according to the report.
Cleveland admitted to police that he had pills on him, reports indicated, adding after a bodily search, officers discovered 1 bag of pink fentanyl, 86 oxycodone pills, 1 MDMA pill and 8 Tramadoll pills. They logged all the drugs into evidence along with $391 cash that was also found in Cleveland’s pocket.
Police said Cleveland also had an active warrant for gross sexual imposition at the time of his arrest. The moped he was riding was reported stolen on Monday.
He was transported to the Mahoning County Justice Center for several charges, including possession of drugs and receiving stolen prooperty.
