Youngstown State University’s Summer Festival of the Arts promises weekend of creative fun

Youngstown State University’s Summer Festival of the Arts is back for its 26th year, bringing a vibrant celebration of creativity and culture to the heart of downtown Youngstown.

The festival is set to be held on July 27 - 28 and promises two days of art, entertainment, and family-friendly fun in Wean Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The community is invited to come enjoy the festival free of charge.

Guests will have the opportunity to explore an array of fine art and crafts, showcasing the talents of both local and national artists, such as intricate jewelry and captivating paintings.

It also emphasizes family-friendly entertainment, offering various activities designed specifically for children. The Children’s Entertainment Tent, sponsored by the City of Youngstown, will host a variety of engaging performances and an interactive space for young artists to indulge in various art projects.

“We are thrilled to bring back the Summer Festival of the Arts to Wean Park,” Katie Merrill, the event organizer said. “This event has become a beloved tradition in Youngstown, providing an exceptional opportunity for artists to showcase their talents and for families to come together and celebrate creativity.”
