A Warren man received a consecutive prison sentence totaling 10 years for drug-related charges.

Antonio Smith, 42, of Lansdowne Avenue NW, Warren, was fined $45,000 after pleading guilty to four counts trafficking in cocaine, two counts possession of cocaine, one count each of possession of fentanyl related compound and having weapons while under disability.

The case involved a 2021 drug investigation conducted by the Trumbull County Sheriff’s TAG task force. The judge said that Smith’s four prior prison term and extensive criminal record and his high-risk recidivism rating made him ineligible for community control.

The sentencing took place at the Trumbull County Common Pleas Court before Judge Cynthia Westcott Rice. The defendant took responsibility for the offenses.
