Youngstown-based marketing agency chosen to create activity book for Nicodemus National Historic Site
A Youngstown-based strategic marketing firm is taking on a new adventure to illustrate and design a book for the Nicodemus National Historic Site in Kansas.
MARQUEE was founded in 2005 as a woman-owned creative marketing firm based in Mahoning County.
Aundréa Cika Heschmeyer, president of MARQUEE, announced they’d been chosen for their first federally-funded creative marketing project.
She said the team is thrilled to take on the project for the National Park Service and work with the Nicodemus National Historic Site.
“This contract signifies a significant milestone for MARQUEE and aligns with our commitment to creating meaningful and educational content. We look forward to delivering a product that captivates and educates the next generation of history enthusiasts,” said Heschmeyer.
MARQUEE team members will be designing a digital Junior Ranger activity book to educate young and teen audiences about the Nicodemus National Historic Site in Nicodemus, Kansas.
The Junior Ranger book will feature engaging activities and educational content to enhance visitors’ understanding and appreciation of Nicodemus National Historic Site’s unique history.
According to Cassie Brandstetter, superintendent of Nicodemus National Historic Site, the Youngstown company was chosen for the project based on their “expertise in educational design.”
“We are excited to partner with MARQUEE on this project to help us share the story of Nicodemus with young visitors in a creative and impactful way. We look forward to seeing how their people bring the history of our site to life,” said Brandstetter.
