Mercy Health mobile mammography van visiting these area locations throughout October
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and here’s where the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center’s mobile mammography unit will travel around Mahoning Valley for the rest of the month.
When to get a mammogram
The JABCC has a state-of-the-art mobile unit with the same high-quality technology and equipment to perform the mammogram that can be found in the exam rooms.
It’s the first mobile unit in eastern Ohio to offer 3-D mammography.
Throughout October, the mobile unit will be parked at several Mahoning Valley and northeast Ohio locations to bring mammograms right to patients, from primary care offices to local businesses.
Women who turn 45 years old should start getting mammograms every year, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine.
