On the eve of Election Day, Mayor Jamael Tito Brown issued a public statement.

“I want to urge everyone to exercise their right to vote and ensure that your voice is heard,” he said. “Voting is not just a right, but our responsibility as American citizens regardless of your political beliefs.”

In the statement Brown said to “protect your ability to exercise that right, the City of Youngstown and Mahoning County have worked to ensure the safety and security of all polling locations throughout the City and County.”

He added that the encouraged those who have not yet voted to make a plan for getting to the polls tomorrow.

“We are expecting higher turnout than usual,” he said.

Polling locations will be open from 6:30 am. - 7:30 p.m. across Ohio. For more information, see the Mahoning Valley Voters Guide.

“Let’s show our commitment to our community by participating in this important process,” Brown said.
