Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley giving out free Thanksgiving meals, how to donate
Everyone is welcome around the Thanksgiving dinner table at Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley in Youngstown. The organization is planning on serving over six thousand meals to community members.
The Rescue Mission is accepting donations online for the upcoming feast, as well as over the phone and through the mail.
Community members can directly sponsor a meal for $2.47 each.
The Rescue Mission is also accepting donations of food, including turkeys, boxed mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce and stuffing.
Donations can be dropped off any time between 8:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday through Friday at 1300 Martin Luther Blvd. in Youngstown.
Mail-in donations can be sent to Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley at P.O. Box 430 in Youngstown, 44501-0430.
Thanksgiving dinner at the Rescue Mission is being served from 1 - 5 p.m. and from 6 - 8 p.m. Nov. 28 at 1300 Martin Luther Blvd. in Youngstown.
