Pet groomer helping adoptable animals with on-the-go services around northeast Ohio
After finding his passion working with animals, a local pet groomer started his own business bringing quality care straight to animals in the Trumbull County and surrounding areas.
Josh Danso is bringing 22 years of experience as a dog groomer to his new business: On Point Mobile Pet Grooming.
He started bathing dogs in high school, then got a job opening salons across the country with Pet Supplies Plus.
“I opened up salons in Chicago, Rhode Island and Virginia, training new groomers, hiring at those locations,” Danso said. “When I was done traveling, I decided to move back to the area, and worked at some privately-owned salons in the Hermitage and Greenville area.”
In 2024, Danso set out on his own and started On Point Mobile Pet Grooming.
“Being a one man show, it can be a little bit overwhelming at times, especially with phone calls,” he said. “I’ve been blessed that my business has grown very quickly. I deal with anywhere from 15 to 20 phone calls a day on top of my grooming and setting my routes. Sometimes it gets a little overwhelming, but the freedom to do my own thing and to be my own boss - I wouldn’t trade it.
Danso said one of his priorities is giving back to the community, making sure all dogs are safe and healthy during grooming and helping them find a forever home.
He works with the Voices of the Trumbull Pound Dogs to give adoptable dogs baths, cleanings and a chance to be seen by potential owners.
Danso works with a videographer to showcase his services as well as highlight the dogs at the Trumbull County Dog Warden.
“The dogs become more visible with the videos, and people are able to see me interact with them. They’ve adopted every dog that I’ve groomed pretty quickly after the videos went up,” Danso said.

“I’m really excited about continuing to build and condensing my routing a little bit too, so I can really concentrate on the Warren - Niles area and building up good relationships with people and dogs,” he said.
