TV show filmed in Youngstown screened at library as part of local 330Day celebrations
Youngstown’s 330Day weekend aims to celebrate creative residents in the northeast Ohio region, from artists, dancer, small businesses owners and filmmakers.
One such resident is Kwai Daniels, the creator of a drama series called BodyBag Ohio Youngstown which was filmed in Youngstown.
The series was shown at an invite-only screening at 2 p.m. March 29 at the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County on Wick Avenue in Youngstown.
The first two episodes introduce Kiev Brown as T.T., a rising artist from Youngstown returning home only to be shot and killed outside a convenience store.
Actor Kaamel Hasaun plays Zay, who wants answers about who’s responsible for T.T.’s murder.
In these episodes, residents of Youngstown will recognize familiar sights and landmarks from around town, including Mill Creek MetroParks and DOPE Cider House.
The film came out in 2023 with executive producer DP Visual Media and is available to watch on Tubi.
The screening was organized by Chris Moss and TEAM330 to showcase local film student projects and titles from Youngstown directors and producers for 330DAY in Youngstown.
