Stop by second-hand clothing store grand opening relocated in New Castle
In May, Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries announced a change of address for one of their retail locations that’s been operating for 25 years in western Pennsylvania.
“We’ve proudly called New Castle home since 2000, and that’s not changing,” Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries wrote.
Now management says the new Goodwill in New Castle is ready and they’re set to welcome customers once again to the retail store and donation center, as well as hire new employees.
The Mahoning Valley community is invited to a grand opening ceremony at 10 a.m. on June 18 at the brand-new Goodwill at 3300 Wilmington Road.
Mary Ellen Gaughan is the vice president of operations for Youngstown Area Goodwill.
“We’re proud to open the doors to a modern, welcoming space that reflects the values of our mission,” Gaughan said. “This new location will allow us to better serve our donors, shoppers and the community at large, while creating opportunities that elevate individuals and empower families to achieve lasting success.”
The last sale day for Goodwill shoppers to browse the Ellwood Road store in New Castle was May 9.
On June 11, Goodwill hosted a soft opening for customers to see the new store, which used to be a Tuesday Morning indoor and outdoor furniture retailer.
Proceeds from purchases and donations directly support Goodwill’s programming helping individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment across the region.
