A multi-million dollar expansion project is underway for Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course in Austintown.
Erich Zimny is the vice president and general manager of Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course
“We’re proud to continue to invest in our property and provide a fresh, new area that adds to both our capacity and overall guest experience,” Zimny said. “We look forward to having the ability to provide our guests even more of their favorite games to help enhance that experience.”
The expansion project is focusing on the existing patio area, aiming to expand the gaming floor by 3,000 square feet.
Once the project is completed, 100 new Video Lottery Terminals will be brought in, bringing the total number of terminals at the racino to 1,150.
Currently, the expansion project is set to be completed within the year.
Guy Coviello is the president and CEO of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber.
“Premium entertainment and leisure are an important part of economic development,” he said. “We’re grateful that Penn Entertainment believes in us enough to make another substantial investment in the Mahoning Valley which is yet another sign of our overall economic growth.”
Hollywood Gaming celebrated the successful opening of Zombie Dogz & Piez in March.
The racino is hosting the eleventh annual Austintown Fireworks Festival on June 27, which is presented by Austintown Generational Enrichment Corp.
