After bringing charcuterie boards to the grand opening of Full Spectrum’s Rainbow House of the Mahoning Valley in March, a resident decided to start a business.

“Everybody was very, very excited and very impressed with what was done there,” owner Frank Amato said. “It’s a few months in and so far, so good. We’ve gotten to go to a few events so far.”

The Curated Cravings Co. designs eye-catching grazing tables, premium charcuterie and luxury picnic experiences across northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania.

“We’re open to anything - family reunions, bridal showers, graduation parties, birthday parties. I especially like working with the prosciuttos and the meats that we bring,” Amato said. “We do a little bit higher end so they end up turning out pretty good. We have a date night board that includes the board.”

On May 23, Amato is bringing masquerade-themed charcuterie cups for Full Spectrum’s Unity Prom at Penguin City Brewing Co. in Youngstown.

Curated Cravings will also be offering vegetarian charcuterie cups for guests who prefer meat-free options during the event, which is an immersive, formal prom experience from 6 - 10 p.m. on May 23.

Unity Prom includes live music, a photo booth and optional masquerade masks will be provided. Formal attire is encouraged.

Tickets are $35 for individuals, $55 for couples and $75 for trios; there’s also VIP tickets available.

Allies are encouraged to attend and help support Ohio’s only LGBTQIA+ homeless shelter.
