So, which food is the most iconic food in Ohio? Let’s check it out:
What food is iconic in Ohio?
It isn’t Pierogi, Polish boy or Buckeyes. It’s actually Cincinnati-style chili.
“At countless ‘parlors’ throughout the region, chili refers to that thin, mildly spiced meat-based sauce that is ladled over Coney dogs or big platters of spaghetti,” Foster said.
Some people even like it with jalapeños, oyster crackers, sour cream or hot sauce on top.
What about some of the other states?
In California, avocado toast takes the stage, while in Delaware, fries with vinegar are an iconic taste. Florida’s iconic food is key lime pie and in Idaho, the ice cream potato is a flavor explosion.
