West Branch captured the Mahoning Matters girls’ basketball poll championship.
The Warriors (22-2) have won 13 consecutive games and defeated their first two postseason opponents, Akron Coventry and Hubbard, by a running clock.
West Branch, champions of the Eastern Buckeye Conference, is about to set a school record for fewest points surrendered per-game in a single-season at approximately 27 points-per-game.

The Howland Tigers are the No. 4 team in the final rankings.
The Tigers are 18-6 on the season and defeated Ravenna (78-9) and Tallmadge (45-32) in their first two tourney games.
Canfield
Canfield finishes fifth in the final mahoningmatters.com poll.
The Cardinals are 16-8 and blasted their first two tournament opponents, defeating Lorain Brookside (66-24) and Cleveland Central Catholic (58-14).
Springfield
The Springfield Tigers are No. 6 in the poll.
The Tigers are 17-7 on the campaign and defeated Oberlin (59-16) and Heartland Christian (59-43 in their first two tournament contests.
Mineral Ridge
Mineral Ridge finished No. 7 in the final rankings.
The Rams, who enjoyed an outstanding regular season, concluded their campaign with a final record of 20-3.
