Youngstown Ursuline has captured the Mahoning Matters boys’ basketball poll title.

The Irish (18-3) defeated East Liverpool (72-53) and Howland (62-53) in overtime in their last two regular-season contests.

Heading into the postseason, the Irish have won six consecutive games.

Canfield

All-American Conference champ Canfield finishes No. 2 in the final poll.

The Cardinals have been one of the best teams in the greater Mahoning Valley over the past two months, winning the last nine regular-season games, including a 66-56 win at East Liverpool in the regular-season finale.

The Cardinals are 18-4 on the season.

LaBrae

LaBrae vaults to No. 3 in the final mahoningmatters.com poll.

The Vikings enjoyed a 20-2 regular-season finish and won the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Gray Tier crown.

LaBrae has won its last nine consecutive games.

East Liverpool

East Liverpool finishes No. 4 in the final poll.

The Potters repeated as the Buckeye 8 Northern Division champions.

Coach Nate Conley’s Potters compiled a 16-6 overall record in the regular season.

West Branch

West Branch gained the No. 5 spot in the final poll.

The Warriors won the outright Eastern Buckeye Conference title and finished the regular-season with an 18-4 record.

Poland

Poland is the No. 6 team in the final rankings.

The Bulldogs won the Northeast 8 championship with an 11-1 league record and concluded the regular season at 15-7.

Lisbon

The Lisbon Blue Devils nailed down the No. 7 spot in the final poll.

The Blue Devils were co-champions of the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference with Columbiana and ended with a final regular-season mark of 18-4.
