Warren Harding leads the initial mahoningmatters.com Super 7 baseball poll.

Warren Harding

The Warren Harding Raiders have rolled out to a 4-0 record while defeating Lakeview, Bristol, Jefferson and Niles McKinley.

Poland

The tradition-rich Poland Bulldogs are off to a 3-0 start.

The Bulldogs have outscored their first three opponents, 51-5.

West Branch

West Branch, which reached the D2 district last season and returns many players including standout pitcher Beau Alazaus from that team, is off to a 3-0 start with wins over Ursuline, Howland and Struthers.

LaBrae

The LaBrae Vikings are unbeaten on the year at 3-0 with season-opening triumphs over Champion (twice) and Cardinal.

Howland

The Howland Tigers are 2-1 on the season. The Tigers have beaten Boardman and Cardinal Mooney and their only loss was to unbeaten West Branch.

Canfield

Canfield is ranked No. 6 this week with a 1-1 record having split their first two games with the Fitch Falcons.

Ursuline

The Youngstown Ursuline Irish are 1-1 on the year with a win over Warren JFK and a setback to unbeaten West Branch.
