High school softball tournament drawings in Ohio slated for April 28
Although many high schools are still trying to reschedule postponed regular-season games from a cold and wet spring sports season in Ohio, the first important date for the start of the postseason is nearing.
The tournament drawing for postseason high school softball is slated for April 28 across the Buckeye State.
In the greater Youngstown area, many teams are expected to draw high seeds, including defending state champion Austintown Fitch in Division I, Canfield in Division II, and Warren Champion in Division III. In addition, many other area schools with impressive records should also earn high seeds.
Of course, the 2024 season will be the last for the four-division postseason format, as the OHSAA recently announced it will expand from four to seven divisions next spring.
