WATCH | Poland woman recovering from addiction said life ‘fell into place’ after drug court

Denise Raub, 32, of Poland, said a normal day for her while on drugs was not knowing whether the sun was rising or setting. She would go days without eating and not even realize it.

“I remember being in total chaos and confusion. You don’t know where you are or what day it is,” she said. “It’s almost paralyzing and you have to sit there and figure out what’s going on. After that, it’s only about that next drug and how to get more.”

Since starting the Mahoning County drug court program to get back to sobriety and clear her felony drug charges, life “fell into place,” she said.
