New Day Recovery opened a new detox and residential facility in Niles on Friday.

The 1500 McKinley Ave. location is on the former site of Shepherd of the Valley Assisted Living.

“Our goal was to create a premier flagship facility with a central location,” said New Day Recovery founder Tom Ivany. “We wanted it to be large enough to serve more patients conveniently and be able to offer the most professional services and amenities.”

What will be at the new New Day Recovery facility?

“The new location is nearly 60,000 square feet and can serve 150-200 patients — making it one of the largest treatment centers between Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio.” said Chief Development Officer Sydney Williams. “We’re also repurposing some of our other facilities and most of our experienced staff from those locations are working in the new facility. Patients will continue to receive the same high-quality treatment they’ve come to expect from New Day. As we continue to grow, New Day Recovery hopes to make additional hires and bring more jobs to the Valley.”

The new facility will offer detox and Inpatient/Residential Programs for men and women.

The facility also offers a hair salon and barbershop, two fitness centers, an activity center, and a gaming room.

Transportation is available to those who want to start treatment but do not have a ride.
